Yeardie-McCabe
Cheryl Ann McCabe of Hopwood became the bride of Scott Michael Yeardie of Brownsville in a ceremony performed Oct. 27. The Rev. Paul Whalen officiated the nuptial Mass at St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, Farmington.
The bride is the daughter of Homer and Sandra McCabe Jr. of Elizabeth Street, Hopwood. She is a 1992 graduate of Laurel Highlands High School and a 1997 graduate of Waynesburg College with a bachelor of science degree in nursing. She is employed at Connellsville Counseling Behavior Health Services.
The bridegroom is the son of Ross and Michele Yeardie of Fifth Street, Brownsville. He is a 1990 graduate of Brownsville Area High School and a 1996 graduate of Penn State University with an associate degree in architectural engineering and a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering. He is owner of SMY Concrete and Masonary Inc.
Escorted to the altar by her father, the bride wore a strapless satin mock two-piece gown embellished with pearls with an embroidered waistline and ending in a chapel-length train. A pearled band held a fingertip veil of illusion.
Rebecca Belski and Julie Barkley were maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Jeanine Yeardie, sister of the bridegroom; Erin Peavornick, Amy Angerman, Heather Yates and Ashley Drzazgowski, cousin of the bridegroom. Mia Turcic, cousin of the bridegroom and Alex Donkers were flower girls.
Best man was Michael Turcic, uncle of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Josh Knapp, Barry Bookshar; Allen McCabe, brother of the bride; Todd Rankin, Kevin Yarnevich and Bobby Turcic, cousin of the bridegroom. Patrick McCabe, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.
A reception was held at Lakeside Party Center’s Crystal Ballroom.
They honeymooned in San Francisco, Oahu and Maui.
They are residing in Brownsville.
