LEMONT FURNACE will hold its fifth annual community reunion picnic on Aug. 31 at the North Union Fire Hall. Dinner will be served at 3:30 p.m. Those attending are asked to bring a dessert. Community pictures will be taken at 5 p.m. Family group pictures will be at 4:30. Polka band will entertain at 5:309 p.m. Other events include face painting and children games at 6 p.m. For more information, call 724-437-3148 or 724-439-8329. FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH, Republic, will hold a roast beef dinner from noon to 7 p.m. Thursday. Tickets are $6.50 for adults and $3 for children age 12 and younger. Take-out orders will be available.
DEEMSTON AND LONG BRANCH COMMUNITY GRANGES will hold an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the Long Branch Community Grange Hall. Meat and meatless sauce will be available. Take-out orders will be available. Tickets may be purchased from members of the granges or at the door. Proceeds benefit Pomona Grange for the purpose of hosting the state grange.
BOBTOWN ROD AND GUN CLUB will hold a dance on Saturday from 9:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. It is open to the public Music will be provided by Higher Ground. Admission is $3 for single; $5 per couple.
ST. MARY ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 61 N. Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, will hold its eighth annual parish festival on Saturday and Sunday. Games, music, food and refreshments will be featured both days. House on Saturday are from 3 to 10 p.m. and Sunday, noon to 10 p.m. D.J. Arnie Amber will provide music on Saturday from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. and Sunday, 6 to 9 p.m.
