Paul A. “Pappy” Wilson Jr., 74, of Derry R.D.1, Pa., died Saturday, May 25, 2002, in Latrobe Area Hospital, Latrobe, Pa. He was born August 30, 1927, in Bradenville, Westmoreland County, Pa., son of Paul E. Wilson and Marie E. Cullen Wilson.

Prior to retirement he was employed by Standard Steel.

He was a member of Derry First United Methodist Church and the Derry Volunteer Fire Company.

He had been a Merchant Marine for four years.

His wife, Josephine V. Bowers Wilson, died March 7, 1996. Also deceased are three sisters, Fidelis Crusan, Beatrice Bellfield, Gertrude Kuzemezak, and his parents.

He is survived by his son, Pastor Paul E. Wilson Sr. and his wife, Patsy, of Brownsville, Pa.; a daughter, Patricia and her husband, Richard Taylor, of Derry, Pa.; grandchildren: Paul E. Wilson Jr. and wife Karie, Donald W. Campbell Jr. and wife Ashley, Michael C. Wilson, Matthew W. Wilson, and Christina M. Rightsell and husband Tim; step grandchildren: Shawn M. Taylor and wife Jessica and Chad A. Taylor; and great grandchildren: David A. Wilson, Anna E. Wilson, and Samuel A. Campbell.

The Family will receive Friends in the MICHAEL J. QUINLISK FUNERAL HOME INC., A Life Celebration Home, 548 North Chestnut Street, Derry, PA 15627 on Wednesday and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 31, at 11 a.m. in the Funeral Home with Rev. David E. Wilson Jr. officiating.

Interment will follow in Coles Cemetery, Derry, Pa.
