MAPLETOWN UNITED METH-ODIST CHURCH will hold a spaghetti dinner from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for children and will be sold at the door. GARWOOD BAPTIST CHURCH, Route 481, Daisytown, will hold a June Bug Jubilee tube-steak dinner with side plate of clean humor Sunday beginning at 6 p.m. Each family is asked to bring a dessert. MOUNTAIN FELLOWSHIP CENTER, Route 40, Markleysburg, will hold a flea market Saturday beginning at 8 a.m. Lunch counter will be open.
BROWNSVILLE OPTIMIST CLUB will hold its annual fishing derby Saturday at Dunlap Creek Park. It is open to youth up to age 15. There are no fees. Adults may join participants since the event is being held on Pennsylvania Day, set aside for fishing without a license. Prices for largest and most fish caught will be awarded.
