OPEN DOORS FOR THE HANDICAPPED will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Community Action senior Center, 137N. Beeson Ave., Uniontown. This will be the Halloween party and members are asked to dress in costume and bring a covered dish. For transportation, call 724-437-8888. LADIES GUILD at St. Thomas Church, California, will hold an Election Day soup and sandwich luncheon from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the church hall. Take-out orders will be available. Cost is $5 and includes dessert and beverage.
AMERICAN LEGION BRIGHTWELL-DAUGHERTY POST 484, Main Street, Fayette City, will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
ALANON, a 12-step support group providing hope for families and friends who are concerned with someone’s drinking, meets every Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the Christian Church of Connellsville, 212 E. Pittsburgh St., Connellsville.

CHRIST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 4 W. Fayette St., Uniontown, is holding its yearly bazaar today from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. A luncheon of homemade soup and sandwich will be served from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. A roast beef dinner, by ticket only, will be served from 4 to 7 p.m. Take-out orders will be available. Homemade candy, baked goods, crafts, and other items, will be featured.
ST. CECILIA CHURCH, Grindstone, will hold a spaghetti dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Take-out orders will be available. To order during the dinner, call 724-785-2792.
