Armed Robbery

According to state police, someone dressed in full Halloween costume and armed with two large knives robbed the Bruceton Food Service at 1040 Morrell Ave. in Connellsville Thursday at 4:30 a.m. According to the police report, the suspect ordered an employee, Terry Brinker, 37, of Connellsville to give him money from the cash register and then fled the scene on foot. Police said Brinker was treated for knife wounds at Highlands Hospital and described the suspect as a 6-feet 1-inch tall man with a thin build dressed in a black hooded mask with a ghost face.

Charges filed

Terroristic threats, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person charges were filed against David Lee Barber, 54, of Smithfield for allegedly pointing a gun at four people and threatening to use it.

State police in Uniontown said the incident occurred at 10:45 p.m. Sept. 1 along Finley Street. The victims were identified as William Vandivner, 36, of Pittsburgh, Kevin Fronczek, 31, of New Salem, John Stitchick, 30, of Smithfield and Timothy Hormell, 32, of Hopwood. The charges were filed Thursday in District Justice Deberah Kula’s office.

Truck burned

State police said a 1997 Chevrolet truck owned by Donna L. Hall of Smithfield was found burned in a field off Fallen Timbers Road at 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Bullskin Twp.

Explosion investigated

State police said someone put explosives in the gas cap of a car owned by Susan J. Leighlitter, 50, of 207 Sherwood Circle and it exploded at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday causing damage to another car owned by Tammy A. Adams, 72, of 208 Sherwood Circle and the siding of 209 Sherwood Circle, which is owned by Connellsville Limited Co. The incident remains under investigation.

Deer hit

State police said nobody was injured when Holbert L. Victor, 33 struck a deer on Route 40 at 6:30 p.m. Monday. His passenger was Kenneth W. Eutsey, 40. The vehicle sustained moderate damage.

Window smashed

State police said someone smashed a window on Mary Kay Beal’s home at 361 N. Gallatin Ave. at 3:25 a.m. Oct. 25.

Four-vehicle accident

State police said nobody was injured Tuesday when Jerod Chapman, Adrienne Dunham, Amy E. Hughes and Tyrone L. Brown were involved in a chain-reaction accident on Sleepy Hollow Road.

Man cited

City police cited LeMorris Cook, 32, of Uniontown twice for public drunkenness and once for criminal mischief after receiving reports of an unwanted person at 50 W. Main St., apartment 901 at 1:40 a.m. and 3:35 a.m. Thursday.

Burglary investigated

City police said someone broke in through the back door of Curtis Crossland’s home at 24 Esther St. between 1:30 and 3 p.m. Wednesday and took $95, Panasonic video recorder and World War II .32-caliber handgun.

Dirt bike stolen

City police said a stolen 1993 Yamaha YZ250 motorcycle owned by Brett E. Meade of 407 E. Main St. was recovered from behind 76 Dunlap St. on Wednesday. Police said the owner discovered the break in around 8:30 a.m.
