Mr. and Mrs. Charles Beatty of Point Marion announce the engagement of their daughter, Barbara Jean, to Jim Belan, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Connelly of Point Marion and James Belan of Reedsville, W.Va. The bride-elect is a 1996 graduate of Albert Gallatin High School and is currently employed in the Maintenance Department of RAG Cumberland Resources in Waynesburg.

Her fiance’ is a 1997 graduate of Albert Gallatin High School and is employed as a SCO at RAG Cumberland Resources in Waynesburg.

A March wedding is planned.
