Park vandalized
While on patrol around 1 a.m. Friday, Masontown police discovered that someone had damaged two circuit breaker boxes, bleachers, two barbecue pits, two signs, an electric meter, garbage cans, and locks on bathroom doors at the German-Masontown Park. Officer Joe Ryan said several of the items were destroyed. The vandalism occurred sometime late Thursday afternoon or evening. Anybody with information should call police at 724-583-7779. Masontown police are investigating a rash of vandalism that has occurred over the last 10 days throughout the borough. Police are asking residents to be watchful and to call police at 724-583-7779 to report any suspicious activity.

Bicycles stolen
Three bicycles owned by Joyce Ann Coliny of Vanderbilt were taken from a yard at 335 Oak St., Vanderbilt, Friday between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., said state police.

Minor injuries
Chad Vernon Johnson, 22, of Normalville sustained minor injuries in a one-car crash at the parking lot of Clinton Church of God, Buchanon Road, said state police. The crash occurred at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday. Johnson was feeling ill, and attempted to park his vehicle, but he passed out before he could stop the vehicle, said police. Johnson was treated at Frick Hospital.

Gasoline stolen
Nicholas Demaske, 18, of Waynesburg reported to police that 8.4 gallons of gasoline worth $11.60 was taken from an Exxon station on Route 21 Oct. 2.

Firearm taken
A complaint was filed with Greene County juvenile probation officials against a 16-year-old Holbrook boy for unlawfully taking a firearm from Elizabeth D. Areford, 59, of Waynesburg, said state police. The boy is believed to have taken a firearm from Areford’s residence on July 28 and Aug. 9.

Siding damaged
Siding at the residence of Vicki Patterson of Morris Street was damaged with a blunt object at approximately 3 p.m. Oct. 27, said state police.

Car crash
Robert James Smith, 18, of Wind Ridge, Ryan Allen Smith, 15, of Wind Ridge and Wesley Michael Barlow, 17, of Holbrook were involved in a car crash on Route 21 at 7:45 a.m. Monday, said state police. Smith told police that a deer jumped out in front of him and he was unable to stop. Smith drove to Greene County Memorial Hospital where he, Ryan Allen Smith and Barlow were treated and released, said police. Citations were filed against Robert Smith for driving at an unsafe speed and operating without required financial responsibility. Gloria Smith, 58, of Wind Ridge and owner of the vehicle was cited for permitting violation of title.

Picture stolen
Customers removed a picture from the bathroom of the Golden Corral Restaurant, Waynesburg and fled the restaurant at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday, said state police. The customers left in a maroon Chevrolet Beretta, backing out of the parking lot and south on Elm Drive. Anyone with information should please contact state police at 724-627-6151.

Woman harassed
Pauline Geneva Case of Dunbar got into an argument with a Dunbar man at 154 Percy Lane at 7:45 p.m. Thursday, said state police. The man allegedly pushed Case, causing injury.

Television stolen
A television and surround-sound system were stolen from Brenda Marie Ilandiorio of 313 W. Sheldon Ave between 5 p.m. Oct. 24 and noon Oct. 25, said state police. The items are valued at $1,700. Anyone with information should please contact state police at 724-439-7111.

One-vehicle crash
Robert Eugene Grimm II of Smithfield was involved in a car crash on Sackett Lane at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday, said state police. The vehicle struck several fixed objects and rolled over, ejecting Grimm, who was not wearing a seat belt. Grimm was transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va., for treatment.

Girl struck
A 17-year-old Keisterville girl allegedly struck a 15-year-old Keisterville girl in the face during an argument, said state police. The incident occurred on 2nd Street, Keisterville, at 6 p.m.

Purse stolen
A purse belonging to teacher Rita A. Packin of Uniontown was taken from the teacher’s lounge at Menallen Township Elementary School between 1:55 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, said police. Student brings firearm
A 17-year-old student at Albert Gallatin High School allegedly brought a .25 caliber semi-automatic pistol from his residence to a school bus stop along Rose Lane at Strickland Estates, Fayette County, between 6:45 a.m. and 7 a.m. Friday, said state police. The suspect showed the pistol to a friend at the bus stop, returned the pistol to his residence, and returned to board the bus. Other students who saw the suspect with the pistol notified school administrators. The suspect was taken to the school office where he was interviewed in the presence of his mother. The pistol was turned over to state police, and the incident is being investigated.

Gasoline stolen
Twelve dollars of gasoline was stolen from Sweet Peas Store, 1346 Connellsville Rd., Uniontown, at 10 p.m. Monday, said state police.

Bicycle stolen
Lisa Lynn Stump of 177 Eagle St., Republic, reported to police that her son’s bicycle was stolen from her front porch between 5 p.m. Monday and 3 p.m. Thursday. Residence burglarized
Earl C. Minerd, 52, of 215 Longanecker Rd., Mount Pleasant, reported to state police that his residence was burglarized at 10:40 a.m. Friday. The locks on the back door and the basement door of Minerd’s residence were pried open to gain entry. Nothing appeared to have been taken from the residence..

Window broken
A pumpkin was thrown through a window at the residence of June Seal of Connellsville at 12:15 a.m. Friday, said state police. The perpetrators fled the scene.

Cash registers stolen
Two cash registers were stolen from Hilltop Convenience Store in Springhill Township, Fayette County, said state police. The perpetrator entered the store by smashing the front door and fled the scene undetected.

Damage reported
Halloween decorations belonging to Theresa Ann Cole, 25, of 307 Center Ave. were damaged between 5:45 p.m. and 6:40 p.m. Thursday, said state police. The incident is currently under investigation. Anyone with information should please call state police at Uniontown.

Minor injuries
Grant Bowers, 41, of Lake Lynn sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash on Morgantown Road at 10:05 a.m. Wednesday, said state police. Bowers was wearing a seat belt. The vehicle sustained only minor damage.

Threatening calls
Samuel Henry, 21, of Dawson reported to state police that he has received several harassing phone calls between 10 p.m. Oct. 24 and 12:02 a.m. Thursday. The incident is being investigated, said police.

Trailer burned
A lock was cut off of a storage trailer belonging to UMI Industries, Uniontown, and the trailer was burned, said state police. The incident occurred at 3 a.m. Oct. 24.

Items stolen
A JVC compact disc player, model KD-5550, and a black leather wallet was stolen between 6 a.m. and 6:15 a.m. Thursday from a 1990 Oldsmobile Cutlass belonging to Brian Andrew Hudock of Uniontown, said state police. The vehicle was on Mayflower Drive at the time of the incident, said police. Four people were seen leaving the scene in a red or purple vehicle, possibly a Toyota Camry and another unknown vehicle. The incident is under investigation.

Stolen Quad Runner
A white 2002 Yamaha Blaster Quad Runner belonging to Jack William Bibby of Dawson was left in a wooded area next to Lemon Wood Acres, said state police. The vehicle, which was stolen on Oct. 23, was found at 9:15 a.m. Saturday. Bibby is offering a reward for information about the incident.

Stolen check
Robert Walter Albright of Star Route, White, was arraigned before District Magistrate Herbert Mitchell on Friday and placed in the Fayette County Prison in lieu of $20,000 percentage bond. Albright was charged with forgery and criminal attempt theft by deception on Thursday, said police. Albright allegedly entered Lowes Home Improvement Store, Matthew Drive, Uniontown, and attempted to purchase a DeWalt tool set for approximately $528 using a stolen. The check belonged to James Arthur Graham, East End Road, Connellsville.. Albright then forged Graham’s name to the check.

One injured
Joyce Lynn Mertz of Belmeade Terrace, Uniontown, was injured in a car crash on Route 21 at Matthew Drive, said state police. Also involved was Elizabeth M. Murtha of Grandview Terrace, Uniontown. The crash occurred at approximately 11:55 a.m. Thursday. Both Mertz and Murtha were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, and both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Public drunkenness
Carl Edward McCoy Sr., 23, of Brownsville was charged with public drunkenness, said state police. McCoy allegedly appeared intoxicated in Searights at 1:43 a.m. Thursday.

Food stolen
Halloween novelties and food items such as candy, soda and chips were stolen between 11:30 p.m. Wednesday and 12:55 a.m. Thursday from a 2002 Jeep Wrangler belonging to Deborah Berry, 48, of Uniontown, said state police. The vehicle was parked at Oliver Plaza, Fayette County, at the time of the incident. The value of the stolen property is approximately $300.
