St. George Church

Ladies Guild of Uniontown will meet at 1 p.m. today in the church social hall. The Guild is taking orders for Lebanese bread, lamb meat pies and spinach pies until Nov. 10. Call 724-438-0677 to place orders for the holidays. St. Anthony Friary

On Tuesday, the Secular Franciscan Order will meet at 6:35 p.m. at the friary for the rosary. Business meeting will follow. Monetary donations will be collected for those in need at Thanksgiving.

Saturday began the Poor Souls Novena at St. Anthony Friary, Oakland Avenue. The day began at Mass, where deceased loved ones were included in the 9-day novena.

New Salem Auxiliary

The New Salem Auxiliary of the American Legion Unit 753 will meet at 7 p.m. on Nov. 12. Social committee includes Ann Vargo, chairman; Ann Sumega, Sally Laurita and Lucy Barbabella.

Bill Hudak Sr. of Smithfield was a birthday celebrant Nov. 1.

Mary E. Williams of Uniontown was a birthday celebrant on Nov. 2.

Patricia Malinzak of Uniontown is celebrating her birthday today.

John Fada of Mount Pleasant will be a celebrant on Monday.

Philip Varndell of Price, Utah, will be celebrating on Tuesday.

Congratulations

John and Nancy Williams of Uniontown became the parents of twins, born Oct. 10. Their son was named Matthew and their daughter was named Miranda.
