Joseph Chrobak Jr., age 79, of East Millsboro, Pa., retired from Gateway Mining Company with 30 years of underground mining and lastly as a Riverman at the Tipple, who was born in Grantown, West Virginia, died Sunday, November 3, 2002, in the Brownsville General Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Illeine Swegel Chrobak; a daughter-in-law, Kay Chrobak, and two grandchildren, Jamie Dawn Chrobak and Jeff Chrobak and his wife, Brandee, all of Brownsville, Pa.; great grandson, Matthew Chrobak; brothers: John Chrobak of Fairmont, West Virginia, and Frank Chrobak of East Millsboro, Pa.; and a sister, Louise Chrobak Bohna of East Millsboro, Pa.

The Family will receive Friends in the Skirpan Funeral Home, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, Pa., on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, November 7 (times will be announced).
