Mary Lou Stramat
Mary Lou Mays Stramat, 71, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Sunday, November 3, 2002, in her residence with her loving family at her bedside. She was born July 14, 1931, in Connellsville, Pa., daughter of Robert Mays and Ada Ritenour Mays.
Mrs. Stramat was a member of St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, St. Mary’s Choir for over 10 years, and St. Cecelia’s Confraternity of Christian Mothers.
Mary Lou graduated from Connellsville High School.
She was a loving and devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother and special Friend!
Her son, Thomas Stramat, two brothers, Alfred Mays and Richard Mays, an infant sister, and parents preceded her in death.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 47 years, Frank Stramat; two sons: Charles Stramat and his wife, Bonnie, of Oliver, Pa., and James Stramat and his wife, Stefanie, of Uniontown; a daughter, Margaret and her husband, Ronald Pisano, of Uniontown; grandchildren: Tiffanie Stramat, Reba Stramat, Zachary Stramat, and Amber Pisano; step granddaughter, Lori Shawl; a brother, Paul Mays and his wife, Pattie, of Normalville, Pa.; a sister, Linda Hawk and her husband, Mel, of Indiana state; sisters-in-laws: Shirley Mays and Patsy Mays Wester; brother-in-law, John Stramat; many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends will be received in the DOLFI FUNERAL HOME, Uniontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Wednesday, November 6, until 9 a.m. at which time a Blessing Service will be held.
A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, North Mount Vernon Avenue, Uniontown.
Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Uniontown.
Confraternity of Christian Mothers, St. Cecilia Church, Lemont Furnace, will recite the Rosary this evening at 7 p.m.
