Thomas A. Holloman Sr.

Thomas A. Holloman Sr., of Filbert, Pa., passed away Saturday, November 2, 2002, at his home. He was born January 27, 1924, in Lamberton, Fayette County, Pa., son of Andrew “Casey” and Susan Polosky Holloman.

He was a member of Saint Procopius Roman Catholic Church in New Salem, former employee of Saint Joseph Lead Company in Monaca, Pa., retired employee of United States Steel’s Robena Mine, and a Veteran of World War II who served with the United States Army.

He was a member of United Mine Workers of America District 2 Local 6321, Masontown American Legion Post 4584, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 423 in Masontown, and the Fairbank Rod and Gun Club.

A brother, William Holloman, a son-in-law, Bernard Grant, and parents preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Puhalla Holloman; sons and daughters: Thomas Holloman Jr. at home, Arlene and her husband, Kenneth Noga, of Uniontown, Pa., Ronald E. Holloman and his wife, Deborah, of Fairbank, Pa., and Loretta Grant of Footedale, Pa.; five grandchildren: Kenny Noga, Melissa Noga, Jennifer Holloman, Amy Holloman, Bernard Grant Jr.; a sister and three brothers: Mildred Welc of Filbert, Andrew Holloman and his wife, Dolores, of Orwell, Ohio, Rudy Holloman and his wife, Betty, and Charles Holloman and his wife, Joan, all of Uniontown, Pa.

Friends will be received in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, New Salem, Pa., today from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 1 p.m. in St. Procopius Roman Catholic Church, New Salem, with Rev. Fr. James L. Popochock as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, where Military Honors will be accorded by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4584 and American Legion Post 423.
