Tire flattened
State police said someone used a sharp object to flatten a tire on a vehicle owned by Roseanne Perhus of Short Street between 1 and 8:15 p.m. Oct. 30.

Assault arrest
William Snyder, 34, of Dawson was arrested on a simple assault charge for allegedly threatening to stab Dana Snyder, 24, of Dawson with a butcher knife at 1:20 a.m. Sunday on Country Lane, state police said. He was arraigned at on-duty District Justice Dwight Shaner’s office. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for 10 a.m. Nov. 12.

Car accident
State police said Robert Fordyce of Merrittstown suffered a minor injury Oct. 31 at 12:01 a.m. when he traveled off the road at the intersection of Zubaks and Penncraft roads and struck a tree. He was treated at Brownsville General Hospital.

Vehicles collide
State police said Ronald Goron of Connellsville and Lewis Bryner of Uniontown were involved in an accident on Route 51 near Gene and Boots Candies at 6 a.m. Monday. Goron suffered a minor injury, but both vehicles were severely damaged.
West Pike Run Twp.
Window broken
A window on a vehicle owned by Steven N. Stone of Daisytown was broken between 11 p.m. Sunday and 6:30 a.m. Monday on Pike Run Drive, state police said.
Springhill Twp.
Car crash
State police said a 17-year-old male driver from Westover, W.Va., fell asleep on Route 857, just north of Hillcrest Drive at 3:45 a.m. Monday, with a 17-year-old male passenger from Osage, W.Va. The car traveled over an embankment, struck a tree and then overturned after hitting a tree stump. Neither person was injured.

Citation filed
A disorderly conduct citation was filed against Chad L. Bardin of Uniontown after he allegedly spat on the driver’s window of a marked state police patrol car in the Sheetz Parking lot at 1 a.m. Oct. 30 after the troopers entered the store. The incident was recorded on a security camera.

Monthly report
Borough police received 238 requests for services and issued 30 traffic citations in October, according to Chief Richard Barron’s monthly report. The report also includes one bomb threat, one burglary, 12 escorts, 30 traffic details, four drug offenses with one arrest, 12 thefts, four drunk driving arrests, seven 911 hang-up calls, seven accidents, 11 disturbances with one arrest, 14 domestic incidents, two people cited for public drunkenness, 21 assists, 19 suspicious people or activity complaints, four motorist assists, five animal complaints, five traffic or parking complaints, two borough ordinance violations, nine harassment reports with one arrest, 24 miscellaneous complaints, three found properties, six juvenile complaints, one liquor law violation arrest, nine alarms, one abandoned vehicle, 16 criminal mischief complaints, one hit-and-run accident, two disorderly conduct complaints with four arrests, one retail theft arrest, two people reported missing, two neighbor disputes with one arrest. The value of property reported lost or stolen was $5,955 and recovered property was $3,550.

In October, the State police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement received 197 complaints, investigated 1,123 complaints, checked 642 licensed establishments, cited 37 licensed establishments for liquor law violations, cited 13 minors for underage drinking, cited seven adults for providing alcohol to minors, issued 27 personal warnings, seized 4 liters of liquor and one gallon of beer, and made six other criminal arrests.
Redstone Twp.
Police issue report
During October, members of the Redstone Township Police Department responded to 100 complaints and three vehicle accidents while patrolling 2,003 miles in 460 work hours.
There were 26 traffic citations issued and 24 non-traffic citations given. The department assisted other agencies 18 times and received assistance from other agencies 23 times.
The police responded to one alarm activation, three calls for abandoned vehicles and two assaults. Officers received one complaint about burning. There were two cases of criminal mischief with damages of $15, one case of defiant trespassing with one arrest made, one case of criminal trespassing with one arrest made and one curfew violation with one arrest made.
There were six domestic disputes, two domestics with mental health commitments, 10 cases of drug activity and one case of driving under the influence with one arrest made.
There were four cases of disorderly conduct, with 14 people arrested, one person was arrested for fleeing and eluding and five people were arrested in five separate cases of harassment. One arrest was made for hindering apprehension.
There was one hit-and-run accident with one arrest made. One person was arrested for indecent exposure. There were two narcotics investigation, one case of public drunkenness with one person arrested and five cases of possession of drug paraphernalia with six arrests made.
There were five people arrested for cocaine possession and two arrested for marijuana possession. One person was arrested for resisting arrest. The department had one case of receiving stolen property. There were four thefts, with the items total value estimated at $445.98. Two cases involved threats and there was one incident of suspicious activity. Three warrants were served, with two arrests made. Officers handled five cases in miscellaneous categories.

Charges filed
Police have filed charges against the following persons in unrelated incidents:
– Julia Sines, 44, of 403 Johnson Ave., for harassment after she allegedly made repeated harassing telephone calls to an unidentified Pittsburgh woman on Oct. 31.
– Earl Soares, 27, of 235 1/2 S. Prospect St., for harassment after he allegedly shoved and spit on an unidentified Connellsville woman and yelled obscenities at her during an Oct. 26 incident at a West Crawford Avenue business.
– Douglas E. Provance, 38, of Connellsville, for public drunkenness after he was allegedly found intoxicated along South Arch Street on Oct. 28.
– Todd M. Fetsco, 28, of 216 Little Summit Road, Dunbar, for public drunkenness after he was allegedly found intoxicated along East Gibson Avenue on Oct. 30.
– Ronald E. Porterfield, 37, of 211 S. Prospect St., for harassment by communication, harassment and stalking after he allegedly made repeated harassing telephone calls to an unidentified Connellsville woman and followed her from her home and place of employment.

Liquor law violations
Police filed charges against four persons after they allegedly furnished alcohol to minors during a party held at a Gibson Terrace residence.
Jacob Blaine Frazee, 23, of 20 Long St., McClellandtown, and David Dwayne Hustek, 28, of 94 Gibson Terrace were charged by police with corruption of minors and furnishing alcohol to minors.
Heather Marie Mickey, 18, of 91 Gibson Terrace and a 16-year-old male were charged with violating liquor laws.
The four will appear before District Justice Ronald Haggerty at a later date.
North Union Twp.
No injuries
Joseph Matthew Krzanowski, of Uniontown, was not injured in a one-vehicle crash on Starlight Road, Nov. 3 at 3:30 p.m., said state police. Krzanowski was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash, said police. The vehicle sustained only minor, front-end damage, said police.

Vehicle burned
A 1997 Oldsmobile Achieva belonging to Sara Rimel of Perryopolis was ignited on Adelaide Hills Road by an unknown person, said state police. The incident occurred at 1:30 a.m. Oct. 31, said police. The car was worth $5,700, said police.

Vehicle damaged
A vehicle belonging to Perry Wettgen, 36, of Connellsville was damaged at the Brownfield Community Center, said state police. The incident occurred at 10:45 p.m. Nov. 2, and is under investigation, said police.

Store burglarized
The Old Hallas Feed Supply on Main Street was burglarized between 7 p.m. Nov. 1 and noon Tuesday, said state police. Two windows and a cash register inside the store were damaged, said police.
Among the items taken from the store were one-half a carton of Saratoga Cigarettes, 2 to 20 packs of Captain Black Cigars, a black radio, 10 dog choker chain collars, six leather dog collars, six white sweatshirts with animal prints, various keys and a blue metal tool box with various wrenches, said police. The front doors were unlocked, and the perpetrators fled undetected, said police.

Man cited
Richard S. Beadling of Brownsville was cited for harassment after an altercation with Shaun McDonough of Beaksville at 1:15 p.m. Monday, said state police.

No injuries
Polly A. Shontz of West Brownsville was not injured in a one-vehicle crash near the Belle Vernon exit on Interstate 70, said state police.
Shontz struck a deer with her vehicle as she was traveling east on Interstate 70, said police.
Shontz was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, on Nov. 4, said police.
The vehicle sustained moderate damage and required towing from the scene, said police.

Disorderly conduct
State police cited Angelina Lignoski, 35, of Carmichaels and Jeffrey Terry, 42, of Carmichaels with disorderly conduct, alleging they were creating unreasonable noise at 505 B Old Waynesburg Road Tuesday at 3:07 a.m.

Checks stolen
State police said someone took two checks from a checkbook belonging to Melissa Sue Hamm of Clarksville at a Fifth Street, Pitt Gas, location in Greene County last Saturday between 6 and 6:30 a.m.

Attempted burglary
State police said someone damaged front door of a Turkey Knob Road residence in an apparent attempt to break into the residence Monday between 10 a.m. and 5:20 p.m.
German Twp.
Route 166 accident
Edna Bruce of New Salem was taken to Uniontown Hospital for treatment after a traffic accident Sunday at 4:08 p.m. along Route 166 at Palmer Road.
State police said Bruce was driving north on Route 166 when her vehicle lost its brakes and struck a tree.
