Local briefs
The Monongahela River Buffs will meet Tuesday, Nov. 19, at the River Museum, 175 Second St., Monongahela, at 7 p.m. The guest speaker is Gary Strelick, who will speak about “Railroad History: Local, Regional and National.” An avid amateur railroad historian, Strelick is the president of the Mon Valley Railroad Historical Society, a member of the Mid-Mon Valley Model Railroad Club, and a board member of the Greater Monessen Historical Society. He also uses slides and artifacts in his presentations.
Anyone with an interest in local and transportation history should attend. Refreshments are always served.
