Julia Caldwell
Julia Namet Caldwell, 84, of Bobtown, Pa., died Thursday, Nov. 7, 2002, in the Monongalia General Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va. She was born Jan. 23, 1918, in New Haul, W.Va., a daughter of the late Charles and Helen Namet Sr.
She was a 1936 graduate of Point Marion High School. During World War II, she worked in the clerical staff of the War Department at both Pittsburgh and Harrisburg.
She was a member of St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church in Bobtown, and a former Girl Scout Troop Leader.
Surviving are four children, Charles S. Caldwell of Bobtown, Joseph Caldwell and Daniel Caldwell, both of Greensboro R.D., and Catherine Caldwell of Bobtown; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Charles C. Caldwell died on Feb. 15, 1982. She was the youngest and last survivor of 12 children, having been predeceased by brothers, Charles and Alex Namet; and sisters, Helena Bodnar, Mary Galanko and Edith Hegedis.
Friends will be received in the RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, Point Marion, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Monday until 9:15 a.m., where a prayer service will be held, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m., in St. Ignatius R.C. Church, Bobtown, with the Rev. Fr. Lawrence V. Holpp as celebrant. Interment follows in Evergreen Memorial Park, Point Marion. A Parish Vigil Service will be held this evening in the funeral home.
