Mary F. Whyel
Mary Frances Dillon Whyel, 81, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Friday evening, Nov. 8, 2002, in the Beverly Health Care Center. She was born Jan. 17, 1921, in Masontown, Pa., the daughter of the late William J. Dillon and Elizabeth Merck Dillon.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Earl Whyel; her sister, Kathleen Kelly and her infant sister, Loretta Dillon.
Mary Frances was a member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, the St. Vincent DePaul Society, and the Jefferson Club.
She is survived by her loving children, Margaret Whyel of Smithfield, Pa., Vincent Whyel of Concord, N.C., and Mark Whyel of Grindstone, Pa.; four grandchildren, Cheri Grubbs, Gretchen Belan, Zachary Whyel and Matthew Whyel; the following brothers and sisters, William Dillon of Uniontown, Elizabeth Murtha of Uniontown, Eleanor Dillon of Greensburg, Patricia Lombardo of Orchard Lake, Pontiac, Mich., Vincent Dillon of Mount Pleasant, James Dillon of Chalk Hill, Pa., Florence Sidorwicz of Long Beach, N.Y., and Paul Dillon of Uniontown; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN E. KEZMARKSY III FUNERAL HOME, at 71 PENNSYLVANIA AVE., Uniontown, Pa., today from 7 to 9 p.m., on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Tuesday until 9 a.m., when a Blessing Service will be held followed by a 9:30 a.m., Mass of Christian burial in St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, with the Rev. Fr. William J. Kiel as celebrant. Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa. Parish Wake Service will be held on Monday at 3 p.m.
