Waynesburg library releases schedule of events
WAYNESBURG: The Eva K. Bowlby Public Library has listed the following schedule of activities for November: – A senior financial concerns seminar will be held Nov. 21 from 2 to 4 p.m. Participants can learn how to protect assets, pay for long-term care with discount dollars, defer or avoid paying federal and state income taxes on their income, along with other valuable information.
– Children’s Book Week will be held Nov. 17-23
– On Nov. 18, the library will hold “Baby Time” from 5:30 to 6 p.m. Parents can bring babies 6 to 18 months old for Nursery Rhyme Time at. Each family will take home a copy of a Mother Goose book.
– Story time will be held as scheduled Tuesday, Nov. 19.
– Toddler Share and Stories Under the Moon will be held Wednesday, Nov. 20, as scheduled.
– On Thursday, Nov. 21, kids in grades 1 to 6 can take part in “Fun with Arts and Crafts.” Snacks will be provided.
– On Thursday, Nov. 22, from 6 to 8 p.m., kids in grades 2 to 12 can come for an evening of literary movies. Kids 8 to 11 years old will watch “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone,” and those 12 and older will watch “The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.” The books will be available for checkout.
– Kids in grades 1 through 12 can pick up a form and rules for the Amazing Book Race at the library, beginning Nov. 17.
– The library’s poetry group will meet at the library Friday, Nov. 22, at 4 p.m. New members are encouraged to join. For more information, call Diana at 724-627-9776.
