Betty Jane Judy Nicholson
Betty Jane Judy Nicholson, 78, of Lemont Furnace, Pa., died Sunday, November 10, 2002, in LaFayette Manor, Uniontown. She was born May 16, 1924, in Dunbar, Pa., daughter of William Sylvester Judy and Martha Ann Nelson Judy.
Betty was a longtime resident of Lemont Furnace.
She worked with her husband, George, the owner of Blair Plumbing and Heating in Uniontown, Pa., as the Secretary and Bookkeeper for the last 42 years.
Before that she had also worked at the Anchor Hocking Plant in South Connellsville.
Betty attended Pennsville Baptist Church and was a former member of Dunbar Baptist Church.
Betty was a devoted and loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Aunt and will be sadly missed by her Family and Friends!
Her parents and four brothers, Donald, William, Charles and Edward Judy, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, George H. Nicholson; her loving children: Beverly Cooley of Lemont Furnace and Harold L. Nicholson of Confluence, Pa.; her grandchildren: Larry Cooley and Kevin Cooley both of Lemont Furnace, Jason Cooley of Uniontown, Pa., and Austin Nicholson of Lemont Furnace; a sister, Marybelle Leapline of Connellsville, Pa.; three sisters-in-law: Audrey Judy of Little Summit, Pa., Rosella Judy of Uniontown, Pa., and Lillie Judy of West Newton, Pa.; also numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Family and Friends will be received in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 East Green Street, Connellsville, Pa., on Tuesday from 2 to 9 p.m.
A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, November 13, at 11 a.m. in the Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Bixel officiating.
A Committal Service and interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Betty Jane Judy Nicholson.
