Mary Churney Eagon
Mary Churney Eagon, 87, a life-long resident of Waynesburg, Pa., died on Sunday, November 10, 2002 at Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, after an illness of several weeks. Mary was a graduate of Waynesburg High School Class of 1932 and Waynesburg College in 1936. She was a life-long member of St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, Waynesburg, Pa.
She was retired from the Pennsylvania Assistance Office. She was a musician and served as an organist for St. Ann’s for 25 years. She was a driver for Meals on Wheels and served on the Site Council at the Senior Center for several years.
She is survived by her daughter Patricia Eagon (Stafford) and her husband James Stafford; a daughter Catherine Eagon and her partner Barbara Woolcott, all of Pittsburgh; two granddaughters, Elizabeth Stafford, her partner Monica Addison-Walker; and great granddaughter Sarijana Addison, all of Baltimore, Md.; and her granddaughter Laura Stafford of Pittsburgh; a sister-in-law Jean Churney; nieces Barbara Rush and Loretta Land; nephews Albert and Michael Churney; several grandnieces and nephews and many dear friends.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 15, 2002 at St. Ann’s Church in Waynesburg, Pa. There will be no viewing.
