Bloodmobile to visit
The American Red Cross Bloodmobile will visit the District 12 Office of the State Department of Transportation (PennDOT) on Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Madeleine John, district special projects coordinator, urged the public, as well as other state agencies to participate in the program.
“One person does make a difference, please be that person,’ said John. She emphasized that all blood types are needed, especially “O” positive and “O” negative.
Red Cross workers will be in the district classroom in the basement of the building, located at 825 North Gallatin Ave. (Old Connellsville Road) in North Union Township.
Anyone 17 years of age, who weights at least 105 pounds, and is in generally good health is eligible to donate blood. Donors must eat before donating.
