Frank F. Klotz
Frank F. Klotz, 82, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away on Monday, November 11, 2002 at Mt. St. Macrina Manor. He was born October 23, 1920, in Continental #3, Pa., the son of the late John and Kathryn (Cherpak) Klotz.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Katherine (Niemitz) Klotz on August 6, 2002; three sisters, Katherine Klemans, Martha Klotz and Mary Klotz; and a brother, John Klotz.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Army in Burma and China and received the Bronze Star. He was a custodian for the Uniontown School District and was a member of St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church of Uniontown. He was a great fan of sports and thoroughly loved his granddaughter, Catherine.
He is survived by his son Francis E. Klotz and his wife Sandra of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; a granddaughter, Catherine A. Klotz of Gainesville, Fla.; three brothers, Michael Klotz of Vanderbilt, Pa. and Steve and George Klotz, both of Dunbar, Pa.; two sisters, Ann Lammers of Garden City, N.Y. and Helen Klotz of Vanderbilt, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the HAKY FUNERAL HOMES INC., a Dignity Memorial Provider, 139 W. Fayette Street, Uniontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and until 10:30 a.m. Thursday when a Panachida Service will be held, followed by Divine Liturgy at 11 a.m., at St. John the Baptist Byzantine Church with the Rev. Fr. Thomas J. Wesdock as celebrant.
Interment to follow at St. John the Baptist Byzantine Cemetery in Hopwood, Pa.
Parastas will be held this evening at 7 p.m., in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Albert Gallatin Hospice, 20 Highland Park Dr., Uniontown, Pa. Military Honors will be accorded at graveside by AMVETS Post 103 of Hopwood.
