Troy J. Balsinger

Troy James (Baldly) Balsinger, 59, of Fairchance, Pa., died Monday, Nov. 11, 2002, at home. He was born July 11, 1943, in Uniontown, Pa., son of the late Franklin Jess Shanaberger Balsinger and Maxine Kelley Balsinger Shanaberger.

Surviving are his wife, Billie Moore Balsinger; two children, James F. Balsinger and his wife, Tracey L. Balsinger of Fairchance, Pa., and Kelly L. Balsinger and a dear friend, Clint Westcoat of Uniontown, Pa.; a stepson, Donald Sanetrik of Smithfield, Pa.; one brother, Ernie Shanaberger and his wife, Kathy of Uniontown, Pa.; and grandchildren, Christie Engle, Corrina Engle, Jessica Balsinger, Troy Balsinger and Donald, Cheyenne and Joshua Sanetrik.

He was employed by Fruehauf Trailer Manufacturing for 28 years and also worked for PennDOT as a truck driver. Troy was a life member of the Hutchinson Sportsmen’s Club, a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of the Alfred Wilson VFW Post No. 7219 of Fairchance, Pa., where he served as Senior Vice Commander.

The family will receive friends in the GOLDSOBORO-TOMI FUNERAL HOME, 21 East Church St., Fairchance, Pa., today until 11 a.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. Russ Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Fairchance, Pa. Graveside military rites will be accorded by the AMVETS General Marshall Post No. 103 of Hopwood, Pa.
