Church donates $2,000 to Domestic Violence Services

1 min read

Faith Fellowship Church, Oliver Road, Uniontown, recently completed the sixth annual Harvest of Hope with the Rev. Gerald Capan presenting a check in the amount of $2,000 to Gloria Mickens for Domestic Violence Services, formerly Family Abuse Council, as Bill Hixon, Harvest of Hope fund-raising chairman, looks on. Rev. Capan said, “The members of Faith Fellowship Church would like to take this opportunity to thank all the businesses, individuals and churches in the Uniontown area who contributed so generously of their time, talents and checks for ads in our program booklet. Without the support of a great and giving community, all our efforts would go for naught. We would like to especially thank the gospel singing groups like Abraham’s Promise, Choz’n 1’z, Free Spirit, Betty Reicks, Lavona, Romans Eight, The Riffles, Nancy and Bill Jones, I am Ministries, About Him, Wanda Workman and the choir from St. Paul A.M.E. Church who freely and willingly donated their service to a worthy cause. A reverent thank you to the pastors Farrel Abraham, Al Thompson, Tim Tanner and Charles Bowlin who each night brought a message of hope. Thanks for another successful year.’
