Quilt guild to meet The Proverbs 31 Quilt Guild will meet Saturday at 9 a.m. at Fort Burd Presbyterian Church on Route 166, near Brownsville General Hospital. The guild is open to anyone interested in quilting, from beginners through experienced quilters. Those attending should bring a Bible. This week’s Bible study is 1 Samuel 12. Meeting changed

The regular monthly meeting to discuss the proposed California Recreation Center will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at the California Municipal Building. Please note the time has been changed to 9 a.m., which is later than previous meetings. State Rep. Peter Daley (D-California) is spearheading the effort to build a new community center in California. He has been working with Mayor Galvie Gardner and California Borough Council to gather input on what residents would like to see at the facility.
