George P. Marzano
George P. Marzano, 84, of Dunbar, Pa., died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2002, at home. He was born Feb. 22, 1918, in Dunbar, the son of the late Emidio Marzano and the late Filomena Joan Gasbarro Marzano.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elma Panone Marzano, who died in 1995; and one sister.
George was a carpenter and boxcar repairman for the P & L E Railroad.
He was a member of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, and the Holy Name Society of St. Aloysius R.C. Church.
Surviving are three children, George Thomas Marzano and wife, Betty of Arlington, Texas, Paula Marzano Nicolette of Dunbar, and Dennis Marzano and wife, Darlene of Scottdale; a brother, Arthur Marzano and wife, Velma of Dupo, Ill.; seven grandchildren, Tim Duke and wife, Lisa, Thomas Marzano and wife, Gabriel, Phillip Scott Marzano and wife, Angela, Janina Hall and husband, Sherman, Stacey Lynn Plewa and husband, John, Dennis Marzano and wife, Tammy and Joseph Marzano; seven great-grandchildren, Tyler, Dustin, Skyler, Dylan, Brooke, Payton and Brenden; and four nephews.
Friends will be received in the BURHANS-CROUSE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Connellsville St., Dunbar, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Friday from 1 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where morning prayers will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 10:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial in St. Aloysius R.C. Church, Dunbar, at 11 a.m., on Saturday, with the Rev. Fr. J. Edward McCullough as celebrant. A Rosary will be recited in the funeral home on Friday at 4 p.m. Interment in Mt. Auburn Cemetery.
