Open house set

The Connellsville Area Historical Society will host an open house Saturday at the Gibson House located along Patterson Avenue. Tours of the downstairs will be given from 1 to 3 p.m. The historical society purchased the house this summer after it was under contract to be demolished. They are currently renovating the house with plans to preserve it and make it their permanent location.

A pen and ink rendering of the house was also recently completed by former Connellsville native Donna Campbell Allen and can be purchased from the historical society.
