Theresa W. Ferguson
Theresa Weinhofer Ferguson, 64, of Belle Vernon, Pa., died Thursday, Nov. 21, 2002, at 9:14 a.m., in Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born Dec. 7, 1937, in West Newton, the daughter of the late John “Huntz” and Marie Stangl Weinhofer.
Mrs. Ferguson was a resident of Belle Vernon, for the past 38 years, a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church of Belle Vernon, and was the Secretary and Treasurer of Gene & Boots Candies, Perryopolis.
She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Belle Vernon Court 1522, and a great supporter of Catholic Church missions, and also sponsored a child in the missions. She would often mail donated items to the church missions. She was always one that took care of everyone else before herself.
Surviving are her husband, Bob Ferguson, to whom she was married to for 38 years; two daughters, Denise Ferguson of Wexford, Pa., and Lynn Ferguson of Belle Vernon, Pa.; a son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Kimberly Ferguson of Perryopolis, Pa.; two brothers, John J. Weinhofer of Madison, Pa., and Michael J. Weinhofer of West Newton, Pa.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Dolores and Robert Warnock of Monroeville, Pa., and Joan and Fred Bashioum of Maryland; and a sister-in-law and dear friend, Nancy Weinhofer of West Newton, Pa.
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m., and on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., in the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon. Condolences are accepted at the funeral homes web site, www.parzynskifuneralhome.com.
A Prayer Service will be held on Monday at 9:30 a.m., in the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m., in St. Sebastian R.C. Church, with the Rev. John R. Cindric V.F., Pastor officiating. Interment will take place in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Members of St. Sebastian Parish and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Belle Vernon Court 1522 will pray the Rosary for the departed soul of Theresa W. Ferguson on Sunday at 3 p.m., in the funeral home.
