Events scheduled Here’s a look at some upcoming events in Greene County:
– Christmas Open House: 4 to 7 p.m. Friday and noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and next Sunday at the Greene County Museum. The front rooms of the museum will be decorated and the gift shop will be open. Holiday refreshments will be served. The museum is located at 918 Rolling Meadows Road, three miles east of Waynesburg. Admission for this event is free. For more information, call 724-627-3204.
– Light-Up Night: Saturday, 5 p.m., Carmichaels town square.
Soup and Christmas Cookie Sale: 9 a.m. Dec. 7, Bobtown United Methodist Church.
– Waynesburg Open House: 5 to 7 p.m. Dec. 10. Waynesburg Prosperous and Beautiful will hold a business district open house at the establishments of participating merchants.
– Church choirs and others are welcome to carol in the shops during the event. Afterward, everyone may gather at the Waynesburg Theater and Arts Center for an hour of Christmas music. Singers are needed.

The Tri-County Leathernecks are collecting new and gently used toys for children 12 and younger until Dec. 13 at the following locations:
– Waynesburg: Giant Eagle, Rite-Aid, Children and Youth Services, John Howard Chrysler, John Howard Oldsmobile, Bortz Chevrolet, Fox Ford Mercury and High Street 7-Eleven.
– Carmichaels and Millsboro: Brodak’s Shop ‘n Save.
– Rogersville: Rush’s grocery.
– Dry Tavern: Giant Eagle.
