Ruth A. Divil Barber
Ruth A. Divil Barber, 86, of Oliphant Furnace, Pa., died Sunday, November 24, 2002 with her loving family at her side. She was born July 3, 1916 in Fairchance, Pa., daughter of the late Crawford Ray Divil and Stella Smithburger (Maust) Divil.
She was predeceased by her husband Edwin C. Barber Sr. and three brothers, Donald Maust and William and James Divil.
Surviving are five children, Shirley Barber of Margate, Florida, Judy Rankin and her husband George (Buck) of Oliphant Furnace, Edwin C. Barber, Jr. and his wife Evelyn of Mountain Road, Donald T. Barber and his wife Bonnie of Clayton, N.C. and Peggy Jo Morris and her husband Donald (Jeep) of Fairchance, Pa.; 14 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and one sister Florence (Dot) Tait of Mountain Road.
The family will receive friends in the GOLDSBORO-TOMI FUNERAL HOME, 21 East Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. today from 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, November 27, 2002 until 11 a.m., the hour of service with the Rev. George W. McLaughlin officiating.
Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park, Brownfield, Pa.
