Helen Edith Bodnar, 81, formerly of Brownsville, Pa., died Sunday, November 24, 2002 in Streetsboro, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Jacob and Mary Hornark Spirko.

She was predeceased by her husband Albert Bodnar; sisters Kathryn and Margaret; brothers Andrew, Joe, Steve, Frank and John.

She is the loving mother of Robert and wife Sara Bodnar of Solon, Ohio, Albert and wife Annita Bodnar of Las Vegas, Nevada, Lorraine and husband Edmund Gladyszewski of Aurora, Ohio; dearest grandmother of Robert Bodnar, Kimberly Zelasko Marie Vozikus, Yavonnie Gallucci, Marla and April Bodnar; great grandmother of Jacob and Jessica Zelasko, Gatsby and Megan Bodnar and Brenna Bodnar; dearest sister of Ann Sumego and Jack Spirko.

Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park St., Brownsville, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. where a Prayer Service will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in the Historic Church of St. Peter’s, Brownsville, Pa. with the Rev. Fr. James Petrovsky as Celebrant.

Interment in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
