Herbert E. Newlin, 83, of Scottdale, Pa., passed away Monday afternoon, November 25, 2002 at his residence. He was the former owner and operator of Newlin’s City Feed and Hardware Store for 47 years. He was also a member of the United Church of Christ in Mt. Pleasant and a member of the East Huntingdon Sportsmen’s Association, Ruffsdale Gun Club and a graduate of South Huntingdon High School Class of 1936.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years Esther Pritts Newlin; two sons, David E. Newlin and wife Janice of Brandon, Fla. and Donald G. Newlin and wife Rebecca of Mt. Pleasant R.D. 3; three grandchildren, David E. Newlin, Heather E. Newlin and Dana A. Newlin; a sister-in-law, Harriet Newlin of Grantsville; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Robert B. Ferguson Funeral Home, 105 Spring Street, Scottdale, Pa.
