Fred and Karen Labutta of Carroll Township announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristyn Susanne, to Nicholas James Lowery, son of Dr. and Mrs. Clinton Lowery of Imperial. Kristyn is a 1998 graduate of Seton LaSalle High School and a student at Duquesne University. Having completed her bachelor of science in Health Sciences, Kristyn will graduate in 2004 with a masters in physician assistant.

Nicholas is a 1997 graduate of West Allegheny High School. He received his bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Duquesne University in 2001 and is currently a student at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio.

A September 4, 2004, wedding is being planned.
