Greens for sale

The California United Methodist Church is selling Christmas greens for the cemetery and for home use. Doves can be added to most items at extra cost. Order forms are available at the California United Methodist Church, corner Third and Liberty Streets, or by calling 724-938-2270. Orders may be picked up at the church on Wednesday, Dec. 11 from 4 to 6 p.m. Deadline to order is Monday.

Holiday hours set

The Fredericktown Area Public Library will be closed Thursday, Friday and Saturday for the Thanksgiving holiday. The book club will meet Sunday at 2 p.m. to discuss “The Red Tent” by Anita Diamont. There will be no meeting of the library’s board of directors in December. The library will be closed Dec. 24-26, Dec. 31 and Jan. 1 for the holidays. Regular library hours are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 11 a.m. until 8 p.m., Tuesday and Friday 11 a.m. until 5 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. The East Beth High School Class of 1940 has donated a small glass display case in memory of deceased classmates. Anyone interested in displaying a collection in the case should contact the library. There is no fee for the displays. The Friends of the Library are raising money for the library by selling Entertainment Coupon Books for $20 each. The library serves Beallsville, Centerville and Deemston boroughs, East Bethlehem Township and the Bethlehem Center School District. For more information, contact the library at 724-377-0017.
