Ferne Trudehl (Trudy) Williams Ellenberger, age 81, of Vanderbilt, died Monday, November 25, 2002, at 11:35 p.m. in Highlands Hospital, Connellsville. She was born October 26, 1921, in Star Junction, daughter of the late Charles Henry Williams, who passed away in 1924, and Lucinda Hixenbaugh Williams, who passed away in 1965.

Trudy worked in the Union Supply Store in Star Junction after graduating from high school.

She was Protestant by faith. Trudy played basketball in high school and loved to play softball and baseball.

She is survived by a son, Robert Ellenberger, and his wife, Susan, and three grandchildren, Matthew, Joanne and Jonathan, of Plymouth, Mass; a brother, Ken Williams, and his wife, Ruth, of Star Junction, Pa.; a sister-in-law, Madeline Williams of Greensburg, Pa.; and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Ellenberger; twin brothers, sisters Margaret, Ina Mae and Lillian, and also a brother Charles and a very special friend.

Friends will be received in the BLAIR-LOWTHER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 106 East Independence Street, Perryopolis, Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday until 10 a.m., the hour of service with the Rev. Jack Sylvania officiating. Interment will follow in Dickerson Run Union Cemetery.
