Charles W. Miller, 71, of Centerville, Pa., passed away on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2002, at his home. He was born Nov. 9, 1931, in Vesta 6, Pa., the son of the late Joseph H. and Esther (Smith) Miller.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and Clarence Miller; and two sisters, Alfreda Miller and Lillian Tarr.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during the Korean War. He was Protestant by faith, and a member of the West Brownsville and Fredericktown American Legions. He formerly worked at Mayview State Hospital.

He is survived by his brother, Donald Miller of Grindstone, Pa.; two sisters, Garnellia Lenkey of West Brownsville, Pa., and Josephine Phillabaum of Beloit, Ohio; a niece, Donna Sullivan of Denbo, Pa.; his friends, Bob and Darlene Little of Brownsville; and several other nieces and nephews.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Monday at noon at Taylor Cemetery, Centerville, Pa., with military honors being conducted by the West Brownsville, Grindstone and Braznell American Legion Posts. Arrangements are under the direction of the HAKY FUNERAL HOMES INC., a Dignity Memorial Provider, 139 West Fayette St., Uniontown, Pa.
