Vincent R. Blout Jr.
Vincent R. Blout Jr., 61, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away suddenly on Monday, Nov. 25, 2002, while on a hunting expedition at Canaan Valley, W.Va. He was born Oct. 12, 1941, in Uniontown, Pa., a son of Helen Ann (Koshut) Blout of Uniontown, and the late Vincent R. Blout Sr.
Also preceding him in death were his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Adam W. and Helen Kruckvich.
Vince was a lifelong member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Walnut Hill Road, Uniontown, where he served his parish as a Eucharistic Minister.
He was the co-owner and operator of the family business, Blout Paving Company, and was a member of the American Society of Highway Engineers.
An avid sportsman, he loved hunting, fishing and held a deep appreciation in the beauty and the preservation of wilderness areas. His pride in his rose gardens, artistically created and meticulously maintained, as well as his flair for gourmet cooking were things that he shared with his family, as was his devotion and happiness. The memory of his kind heart, sense of humor and warm spirit will always be cherished.
In addition to his mother, Helen, surviving are his loving wife of 23 years, Rose (Kruckvich) Blout; daughters, Justine Vincent Blout and Jessica Helen Blout, all at home; his brother, Richard C. Blout and wife, Jennifer of Uniontown, Pa.; a niece, Evonne M. Blout; two nephews, Christopher R. Blout and wife, Jennifer and Jace Richard Vincent Blout; and a great-niece, Kennedy Jo Blout, all of Uniontown, Pa.; and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.
Friends will be received in the HAKY FUNERAL HOMES INC., A Dignity Memorial Provider, 139 West Fayette St., Uniontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, until 9 a.m., when Prayers of Transfer will be said. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, Walnut Hill Road, Uniontown, Pa., at 9:30 a.m., with the Rev. Fr. Alexander L. Pleban as main celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Hopwood, Pa.
St. Joseph Parish Ministry of Consolation will conduct services this evening at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Anthony Friary, 115 Oakland Ave., Uniontown, PA 15401.
