Sara E. Davis, 96, of Perryopolis, Pa., formerly of Uniontown, Pa., died Monday, Sept. 30, 2002, in Uniontown Hospital. She was born May 18, 1906, in Uniontown, a daughter of the late William Wallace Kennedy and Emma Osa Kemp Kennedy.

Also preceding her in death were her husband, Ferdinand Davis Jr.; and a brother, Edgar Kennedy.

Surviving are six children, Nancy E. Misch of Norwood, Ohio, Wallace Davis of Uniontown, Dorothy L. Gilleland of Point Marion, Pa., Donald R. Davis and his wife, Dorothy of Wadsworth, Ohio, Emma Jean Russell and her husband, Bruce of Perryopolis, Pa., and Thomas K. Davis of Butler, Pa.; 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Davis had been an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Friends will be received in the JEROME W. SHELL FUNERAL HOME, 164 South Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, on Friday from 9 to 11 a.m., the hour of services, with the Rev. William D. Rodahaver officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Saint Macrina Cemetery.
