Blaine E. Hess Sr., 67, of Georgetown, Pa., born in Uniontown, Pa., died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2002, at home, following a lengthy illness. He was a retired auto salesman.

Surviving are his wife, Faye Coffield Hess; four sons, John Madden Sr., of Crescent Township, Roger Madden of Moon Township, Blaine E. Hess Jr., of Georgetown, and Darrell Hess of Dallas, Texas; two daughters, Loretta Andrews of Independence Township, and Cheryl O’Brien of Crescent Township; 16 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

There will be no visitation. Arrangements are being handled by the Welch Funeral Home, Hookstown.
