MT. OLIVET BAPTIST CHURCH, 51 Stewart Ave., Uniontown, will hold a bazaar Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Clothing, household items and food will be offered. C.H.A.N.G.E. GOSPEL MINISTRY will hold a fish or chicken dinner Saturday at the Canaan Baptist Church dining hall starting at 11 a.m. Dinners are $6. Call 724-785-7878 to place orders. Deliveries will also be available.
CALVARY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, Clark Street, Uniontown, will hold a buckwheat, pancake and sausage supper from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $5 for adults and $2.50 for children. Take-out orders will be available.
SPRINGHILL FURNACE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, Route 857, will hold a bazaar and bake sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and also on Oct. 12. Lunch will be available. Take-out orders will also be available. Handmade quits and crafts and holiday items will be offered.
MOUNTAIN FELLOWSHIP CENTER will hold its monthly flea market Saturday beginning at 8 a.m. Lunch counter will be open. The center is located on Route 40, one-half mile east of Lone Star Restaurant. For more information, call 724-329-0545.
U.S. STEEL PENSIONER CLUB will meet at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Holiday Inn, Uniontown.
FORT MASON HISTORICAL SOCIETY will hold a yard sale Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the museum grounds, 548 N. Main St., Masontown. Proceeds go toward the replacement of deteriorated windows in the museum building. In the event of rain, an alternate date will be announced.
HOPWOOD UNITED METHODIST CHURCH will hold a bazaar from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Crafts, jewelry, baked goods and flea market items will be offered. Luncheon items will also be available.
GRACE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 420 California Drive, Coal Center, will hold a family-style ham dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Take-out orders will be available. Prices are $7 for adults and $3 for children under ages 12. Tickets are available by calling the church office at 724-483-4448 or at the door.
FAYETTE COUNTY BRANCH of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People will hold its 13th annual Human Rights dinner on Oct. 12 at 6 p.m. at the Youghiogheny Western Baptist Association’s Headquarters and Christian Center, Route 21 and Duck Hollow Road, Uniontown. Dr. Joyce Royster, former principal with the Uniontown Area School District, will be the keynote speaker. Tickets may be obtained by contacting the chairman, Eugene Grooms at 724-246-0626 or the Rev. FAYETTE COUNTY SUNDAY SCHOOL ASSOCIATION EXECUTIVE BOARD will meet at 7 p.m. Saturday at Central Fellowship Church, Connellsville. All Sunday School workers are invited to attend.
FAYETTE COUNTY POMONA GRANGE 49 is sponsoring a one-day bus trip to Ohio Amish Country on Oct. 18. Pick-ups will be made at Uniontown and at Vesely’s in Gillespie. The trip is open to grangers and non-grangers. Reservations must be in by Oct. 10. For more information, call 724-326-8820.
