Dorothea Guseman Sisler
Dorothea Guseman Sisler, 83, of Morgantown, West Virginia, died Friday, October 4, 2002, at Ruby Memorial Hospital. Born September 21, 1919 near Point Marion, Pa., she was a daughter of Gale and Hattie Herring Guseman.
She was a 1938 graduate of Point Marion High School and had worked at Houze Glass Corporation in Point Marion.
She was a member of Suncrest United Methodist Church and a life member of both Monongalia General Hospital Auxiliary and Friends of West Virginia University Hospitals.
She was predeceased by her husband, Warren Sisler in 1974, two children, William Sisler and Brenda Lee Sisler, a sister, Mary Goff, brothers, Gale Jacob, James, Fred and Robert Guseman, and parents.
Surviving are her daughter, Susan Smith, and two grandchildren, Katy Breanne Smith and William Warren Smith, all of Claremore, Oklahoma; two sisters: Marjorie Emory of Uniontown, Pa., and Eleanor Butts of Milford, Michigan; numerous loving nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
Friends will be received at the RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, Point Marion, Pa., today from Noon to 3 and 6 to 9 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, October 7, at 11 a.m. in the Funeral Home with Rev. Aslam Barkat officiating.
Interment follows in Evergreen Memorial Park, Point Marion.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to American Heart Association or Monongalia General Hospital Auxiliary, 1200 J. D. Anderson Drive, Morgantown, WV 26505.
