Poach-Pichard
Desiree J. Pichard of California and Jeffrey J. Poach of Buckhannon, W.Va., were united in marriage on April 20. The Rev. Vince Gigliotti officiated the nuptial ceremony at the Historic Church of St. Peter in Brownsville.
The bride is the daughter of Terry and Benita Pichard of Ash Street, California. She is the granddaughter of Michael and Rose Andrews and Roland and Bertha Pichard, all of California.
The bridegroom is the son of Diane and Ed Poach Jr. of Allman Avenue, Buckhannon. He is the grandson of Edward M. Poach Sr. of Washington and the late C. Ethel Poach and the late James and Nancy Butler of Monroeville.
Escorted to the altar by her father, the bride wore a strapless ivory satin gown with basque waistline and inverted box pleats. A pearl and diamond-accented comb held a veil of illusion.
Kathleen K. Hall of Brownsville was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Janina Pichard, California, sister of the bride; Elaine Abel and Jennifer Poach, Buckhannon, W.Va., sisters of the bridegroom; Adrianne Smith, Erie, cousin of the bride; and Beth Ann Bonaventure, Media. Flower girls were Emily P. Emmerth of Wheeling, W.Va. and Serenity K. Lubay of Mesa, Ariz., cousin of the bride.
Best man was Eric D. Lunell of Buckhannon. Groomsmen were Ed Poach III, Washington, brother of the bridegroom; Burton Abel, Buckhannon, brother-in-law of the bridegroom; Jared Pichard, Palm Bay, Fla., cousin of the bride; T. Ryan Withers, Buckhannon; and John Drosieko, Wheeling, W.Va. Ring bearer was Christian E. Poach of Washington, nephew of the bridegroom.
A reception was held in the Crystal Ballroom of Lakeside Party Center, Uniontown.
The couple honeymooned in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
The bride graduated in 1997 from Geibel Catholic High School and Wheeling Jesuit University in 2001 with a bachelor of science degree in respiratory therapy. She is a respiratory therapist at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va.
The bridegroom is a 1995 graduate of Buckhannon-Upshur High School and a 1999 graduate of Wheeling Jesuit University with a bachelor of science degree in business management. He is a sales agent for American General Life & Accident in Morgantown, W.Va.
The newlyweds are residing in Morgantown.
