Polito-Smolley
A ceremony at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Uniontown, united in marriage Anna M. Smolley of Uniontown and Edward J. Polito Jr. of Uniontown. The Rev. William Kiel officiated the nuptial Mass on June 22.
The bride’s parents are Paul and Rose Smolley of Uniontown. The bridegroom’s parents are Edward and Cathy Polito of Uniontown.
The bride, escorted to the altar by her father, wore a white sleeveless satin A-line gown with square neckline, scalloped lace hemline and chapel train, all adorned with appliques of beaded Venise lace and clear rocaille beads. A tiara of rhinestones and baguettes held a two-tierd rolled edge veil with scattered pearls and rhinestones.
Cathy Smolley was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Aimee Smeathers, Jennifer Roberts, Amy Hlastala, Annette Hudock, sister of the bridegroom. Haley Bereiter was flower girl.
Best man was Paul Smolley Jr., brother of the bride. Ushers were Bob Bosley, Chris Kennedy, Jerry Bubonovich and Frank Hudock. Marcus Bubonovich was ring bearer.
A reception was held at Lakeside Party Center’s Crystal Ballroom.
The bride is a graduate of Laurel Highlands High School and is co-owner of Primp & Polish.
The bridegroom is a 1989 graduate of Laurel Highlands High School and a 1993 graduate of St. Francis University and a 1998 graduate of West Virginia University. He is employed in the office of vocational rehabilitation for the Department of Labor Industry.
Following a wedding trip to Sandal’s Resort, Montego Bay, Jamaica, the couple is residing in Uniontown.
