George Robert Fuller Sr.

George Robert Fuller Sr., 67, of Vanderbilt, Pa., passed away Sunday, October 6, 2002, in Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was born July 29, 1935 in Connellsville, a son of the late George Robert and Lillian Grimm Fuller.

George was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Vanderbilt.

He was retired from the Chessie System Railroad, where he was employed as a boiler maker for 35 years. He enjoyed sports and was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers fan. George was readily available and delighted in repairing the neighbors’ appliances when needed.

He is survived by his loving wife, Erma A. Sumey Fuller, whom he was married to for 51 years; a son, George Robert Fuller Jr. and companion Cindy Perkins of Vanderbilt; two daughters, Barbara Swink and husband Walter E. of Dawson, R.D. 1 and Virginia Faye Hitlan and husband David of Irwin; four grandchildren, Jamie Swink Timms and husband Joseph and Nathan Robert Swink, all of Dawson, Hannah Nadine Fuller and Hayley Dawn Fuller, both of Vanderbilt; two brothers, Dale H. Fuller and wife Evelyn of Dickerson Run and Scott Alan Fuller and wife Jane of Monarch; a sister, Nancy Reagan of Youngstown and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the VITO C. MARTUCCI FUNERAL HOME, 123 S. First St., West Side, Connellsville, Pa., today from 6 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday until 11 a.m., the hour of service with the Rev. Leslie Fuller officiating.

Interment will follow in Bowman Flatwoods Cemetery, Flatwoods, Pa.
