Jury begins deliberations Man convicted of burglary

Man faces sex charges

Fayette County jurors heard closing remarks and the charge of the law in the case lodged against Ronald A. Means, a 32-year-old Connellsville man accused of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl on March 7, 2000.

Means, of 432 Duck Pond Road, is charged with indecent assault, indecent exposure and corruption of minors for abusing a child in 2000.

He allegedly assaulted the child on her mother’s bed and then had the girl retrieve a washcloth afterwards so he could clean himself.

According to testimony from Means’ preliminary hearing, the girl told her mother about the assault the next day, and her mother called police.

The girl also admitted at the preliminary hearing that she was jealous of the relationship between Means and her mother.

Means has denied assaulting the girl.

Judge Ralph C. Warman is presiding over the case.
