Mary Reed
Mary Reed, 77, of 204 East Florida Ave., Connellsville Township, died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2002, at her home. She was born April 1, 1925, in Leisenring, Pa., the daughter of the late Frederick R. Scarry and Elizabeth Donovan.
Mary was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, and was a retired registered nurse at Connellsville State General Hospital.
Surviving are her husband, Blaine C. Reed; sons, Blaine C. Reed of Florida, Kevin G. Reed of Virginia, Gerald P. Reed of Missouri, and Thomas D. Reed of Pennsylvania; daughters, Judith Colvin of Connellsville, Anita L. Reed of Uniontown, Pa., and Marjorie Hodge of Tennessee; 19 grandchildren; one step great-grandchild; and brothers, Joseph E. Scarry of California, and Gerald Scarry of Connellsville, Pa.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Frederick D. and Basil Scarry; and a sister, Theresa Reese.
Friends will be received in the RICHARD KUCERA FUNERAL HOME, 127 East Fairview Ave., Connellsville, Pa., today from 1 to 9 p.m., and on Friday, Oct. 11, 2002, at 10:30 a.m., the hour of a blessing service, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m., in Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, with the Rev. Fr. Terry Hercik as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Vincent DePaul Cemetery, Leisenring, Pa. A Parish Vigil will be held in the funeral home this evening at 8:45 p.m.
