Beverly A. Ruffcorn Elliott, 62, of Brownsville, Pa., passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 10, 2002, in the Brownsville General Hospital. She was born on September 9, 1940, in Brownsville, Pa., daughter of George and Henrietta Horner Ruffcorn.

Mrs. Elliott was predeceased by a brother, Dennis Ruffcorn, and her parents.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Chief of Brownsville Police Gerald J. Elliott; three children: Gerald J. Elliott Jr. and his wife Mary Beth, New Salem, Pa., Crystal Elliott Coffey and her husband James Coffey, Brownsville, Pa., and David Elliott and his wife Jamie, Brownsville, Pa.; five grandchildren: Brandon Coffey, Erika Coffey, Cameron Coffey, Gabriel Elliott and David Keith Elliott Jr.; one sister, Dorothy Turosik, Brownsville, Pa.; three brothers: George Ruffcorn and his wife Sally, New York, Harry David Ruffcorn and his wife Barbara, Brownsville, Pa., and Larry Ruffcorn and his wife Michalene, Brownsville, Pa.; also several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. where Funeral Services will be held Monday, October 14, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Alexander Jalso officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations may be made in Mrs. Elliott’s name to the Brownsville Police Department, Second and High Streets, Brownsville, PA 15417 or South Brownsville Fire Department, Post Office Box 333, Brownsville, PA 15417.
