David Starisky Sr.

David Starinsky Sr., 70, a resident of Michigan since 1955, who served as a Corporal in the Untied States Army during the Korean War, retired General Motors employee with 39 years service, and was born in Grindstone, Fayette County, Pa., died from cholangio carcinoma on Friday, October 11, 2002, in Arbor Residence Hospice Center, Livonia, Michigan. He is survived by his wife, Mary, with whom he celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in August; children: Marsha Starinsky Giroux and husband Carl Giroux, Diane Starinsky Kursa and husband Ed Kursa, David Starinsky Sr. and wife Deborah, Daniel Starinsky and wife Ann, and Tanya Starinsky Fischer and husband Karl Fischer; and four grandchildren.

Friends will be received in the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, today from 2 to 9 p.m.

Visitation continues Monday, October 14, in St. Hilary Catholic Church, 23901 Elmira, Redford, Michigan, where his body will lie in state from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.
