Melissa Carpeal of Keisterville and Dave Jeffries of Uniontown were united in marriage on Aug. 16. The Rev. Michael Shepard heard the exchange of vows at the Sons of Italy. A reception followed.

The bride is the daughter of Betty and Daniel Carpeal of First Street, Keisterville. The bridegroom is the son of Rita Jeffries of Uniontown and the late Mick Jeffries.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore an ivory gown with spaghetti straps and cathedral-length train adorned with an appliqued hemline and accented with pearls and sequins. Her headpiece was ivory netting held by a clip of ivory roses.

Maid of honor was Kristie Carpeal. Nicole Jeffries was the bridesmaid and Alexis Carpeal was the flower girl.

Mike Jeffries was best man. Usher was David Jeffries. Dustin Jeffries was the ring bearer.

The bride is a graduate of Uniontown Area High School and California University of Pennsylvania. She is employed as a substitute elementary school teacher.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Laurel Highlands High School and is a heavy equipment operator.

The couple resides at 233 Burgess Field Road, Uniontown.
