Verna Teets Woodfill

Verna Teets Woodfill, 93, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2002, in Uniontown Hospital. She was born March 7, 1909, in Elliotsville, Fayette County, Pa., daughter of Harry Teets and Jessie Elliot Teets.

Verna graduated from Uniontown High School in the Class of 1927 and was a Secretary at Third Presbyterian Church for many years until her retirement.

She was a member of Third Presbyterian Church and Uniontown Chapter 263 Order of the Eastern Star.

Her husband, Paul Woodfill, a sister, Dorothy Teets, and parents preceded her in death.

Surviving are a sister, Edna Swankhouse, who resides at Henry Clay Villa in Markleysburg, Pa.; a nephew, James Teets of New York City, New York; and a niece, Jean Leech and her husband, Ronald, of Uniontown.

Arrangements were entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, Pa., where Friends were received on Saturday, October 12, from Noon until 2 p.m. Services were held at 2 p.m. by the Rev. William Rodahaver.

Private interment followed in Jacobs Lutheran Cemetery, Masontown.

The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, that memorials may be given to Third Presbyterian Church, 425 Union Street, Uniontown, PA 15401.
