Merle Wesley McKinney Sr.
Merle Wesley McKinney Sr., 69, of Dunbar, Pa., went home to be with the Lord on Saturday morning, October 12, 2002, from UPMC Montefiore, Pittsburgh, Pa. He was born September 3, 1933, in Skiatook, Oklahoma, the son of James McKinney and Maudie Shelton McKinney.
Merle was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, member of V.F.W. Post 10468, I.B.E.W. Local Union 1245, and the Moose.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Roy, his sister, Doris, and twin grandsons.
Surviving are his beloved children: Merle W. McKinney Jr. of Tennessee, Cindy L. Bagwell of Lemont Furnace, Pa., Colletta L. Munk of Mount Braddock, Pa., Michael W. McKinney of Lemont Furnace, Pa., and Dana M. Andres of Lemont Furnace; 10 grandchildren; one great granddaughter; four brothers; four sisters; and his former wife and the mother of his children, Dolores Martin McKinney Wolf.
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN E. KEZMARSKY III FUNERAL HOME AT 71 PENNSYLVANIA AVENUE, UNIONTOWN, Pa., today from 3 to 7 p.m. and Tuesday, October 15, until 11 a.m., the hour of Service with Rev. Donald J. Immell officiating.
Interment follows in Sylvan Heights Cemetery where Military Honors will be accorded by General Marshall AMVETS Post 103 of Hopwood.
